All Bio Bulgaria (Harmonica) Products

The story of how harmonica came to be is a simple one. It all started some time in 2006 when three friends – Maggie Maleeva, Lubomir Nokov and Methodi Methodiev started work with the first two organic cow farms in Bulgaria. We had no desire to go into the big business, we just wanted to provide real food for our own families.

Harmonica is majority owned by a woman - Magdalena Maleeva, a former top 4 in the world tennis champion. Maggie is also known for her environmental activism.

Harmonica started off with one simple and traditional product – yoghurt. This one product planted the seed of hope and enthusiasm. It wasn’t long until we realized that agriculture and food production are at the core of the biggest ecological challenges that we as humanity face – destruction of the biodiversity, climate change, pollution. We realized that many of the solutions were in our hands and that we were now part of a global effort to bring about a positive change.

Now our work revolves around finding solutions to these challenges through all that we do. We choose to work with integrity and partner with farmers and companies that share our mission. We develop our products in a way that makes us the better alternative.

Welcome to Harmonica, where we’re not just a food company – we’re a community of passionate people committed to redefining the way food is grown, made, and enjoyed. We are a certified B Corp, Great Taste Producer, and organic food pioneer in Bulgaria.

One of our founders, Magdalena Maleeva, a former tennis star turned climate activist, has brought her love for sportsmanship, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices to Harmonica’s core and our drive to make a difference, one delicious product at a time.

We believe in going beyond business as usual by crafting our products with organic and regenerative farming methods, minimal processing, clean labels, and a focus on local sourcing. This approach not only delivers amazing taste and quality but also helps us reduce our environmental and climate footprint. Our dedication to the Clean Struma River Project is just one example of our commitment to making a real, positive impact on the world around us.

As recipients of many awards, as the „Best Investor in the Environment 2022“ award from the Bulgarian Business Leader’s forum, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we know there’s still so much more to do. We believe that together, we can make Harmonica an incredible example of how to produce food with care for biodiversity, soil, water, and the people who depend on them. This is our mission, and we’re excited to have you with us every step of the way.

So, come on in and join the Harmonica family as we work together to create a brighter, healthier future for our planet and our customers. We’re glad you’re here.
