ALB-GOLD IS A TRADITIONAL FAMILY-OWNED COMPANY located in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany. ALB-GOLD manufactures more than 150 different pasta shapes using the best raw materials of finest quality.

ALB-GOLD IS A TRADITIONAL FAMILY-OWNED COMPANY
located in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany. The company’s headquarters is situated in southern Germany on the Swabian Alb – among the Black Forest, the city of Stuttgart and Lake Constance. This area is the home of Swabian spaetzle and the cradle of pasta-making in Germany. ALB-GOLD manufactures more than 150 different pasta shapes using the best raw materials of finest quality.

Our extensive organic pasta assortment ranges from traditional Italian durum wheat semolina pasta to specialty egg pasta, produced from the finest semolina and fresh eggs, and locally grown spelt pasta. We also make sweet pasta flavored with chocolate and lime, and gluten-free pasta made from organic corn and rice flour. Another specialty of ALB-GOLD is our organic kids‘ pasta, animal-shaped semolina pasta which can be enjoyed by kids and the whole family.

ALB-GOLD is one of Germany’s organic pioneers when it comes to pasta. Over the past 20 years we have developed an extensive range of organic fresh and dried pastas. Optimizing the quality of our products to meet our customer demands is our daily challenge. Transparency in food production and in the entire supply chain is an important component of our philosophy. Our production sites in Trochtelfingen and Riesa are both glassed-in facilities.

All pastas are manufactured transparently so that anyone taking a tour through our production can see how it’s made.

Klaus Freidler, the founder of ALB-GOLD dies suddenly at the age of 52. His wife Irmgard and their two sons Oliver and André take over the management of the company.

Acquisition of the company "Zahner Traiteur" – a specialist in fresh pasta production

2007
Extension of the pasta varieties and full commitment to use non-GMO raw materials

Opening of a new spaetzle production line with a focus on using original spelt grain as an ingredient

Opening of the newly built ALB-GOLD Customer Center as a facility for pasta lovers to learn more about pasta production and nutrition in general

Acquisition of the pasta producer BECHTLE based in southern Germany - this company invented the first fully automated spaetzle production line

Completion of restructuring programmes in accordance with the highest international food standards: DIN ISO 9001, IFS [International Food Standard V5 = Higher Level], EU-Organic, Demeter, Bioland and NOP [National Organic Program USA]

Opening of additional lines to support the production of highest quality pasta, and successful introduction of the quality slogan "Swabian Gold"

Acquisiton of Teigwaren Riesa, an extensive pasta-producing factory based in Saxonia [East Germany] between Dresden and Leipzig

The organic food products in Ekoorganik Organic Store are in line with the European Union Organic Agriculture Legislation, and produced in accordance with the Organic Agriculture Law and Regulation of Turkish Republic and has been certified by the Organic Certification Bodies authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, after being inspected by laboratory analyzes.
